It is a rainy afternoon, and some interior designers gathered around our table to share their experiences of working with other Feng Shui Masters. We at this moment highlight two interesting stories. Paul (not his real name) shared with us his personal experience which until today his mother will complain every time she cooks. Many years ago his father invited a Feng Shui Master to audit their new flat and one of the remedies that were recommended by their Feng Shui Master was to tilt the kitchen stove 30 degrees and build a glass partition next to it. With this remedies, the stove can no longer be used to its full potential. Paul’s mother cannot cook using a wok, and this is a tragedy for a Chinese family that love culinary. Upon hearing Paul’s story, everyone had a good laugh, voiced their opinions and concerns of engaging a Feng Shui Master. Shirley (not her real name) shared with us her experience. Her clients had a Feng Shui Master that advised them not to have a basin in their master bedroom's toilet. To everyone surprise and horrid the customers followed the instruction of the Feng Shui Master. Cannot imagine what is going on in their head. These stories raised questions about Feng Shui practices that caused inconveniences to our daily life and also create misconception to the public. Isn’t Feng Shui supposed to improve our life and make it easier by been people oriented?
Feng Shui is a tool, not an outcome.
